The Colonial Williamsburg Visitors Center is open 365 days a year. The center offers a superb orientation for your foray into the 18th century.

The Williamsburg Area Convention & Visitor Bureau, 421 N. Boundary St., Williamsburg, VA 23187 (tel. 800/368-6511 orWilliamsburg Chamber of Commerce building 757/253-0192; fax 757/253-1397), is an excellent source for information about the hotels, restaurants, and activities in Williamsburg.

It is collocated with the Williamsburg Area Chamber of Commerce on Boundary Street between Lafayette and Scotland, 2 blocks north of the Duke of Gloucester Street. Open Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm.

You can obtain good maps of the City of Williamsburg or Colonial Williamsburg here.

In case the Fife & Drum Inn is fully booked you might check with The Williamsburg Bed and Breakfast Association or The Williamsburg Hotel and Motel Association this group publishes "Williamsburg Great Entertainer Magazine," a visitors guide. It also operates a hotel and motel reservation service.
