Webster Hitchens Room at our Williamsburg Bed and Breakfast | |
![]() |
Albert Webster Hitchens, the grandfather of your hostess, was a successful businessman in the days before "John D." came to
Williamsburg.
Mr. Hitchens had extensive property holdings along Duke of Gloucester Street which were sold to the Williamsburg Restoration Company and became integral parts of Colonial Williamsburg. He purchased property and moved adjacent to the restoration project. The result was the Hitchen's Building, now home to this Williamsburg Bed and Breakfast, The Fife & Drum Inn. |
|
The memorabilia in this room, and throughout the Inn, catalogue one family's twentieth century Williamsburg experience. THE WEBSTER HITCHENS ROOM features a stenciled floor, fully curtained four poster bed, and bright windows overlooking Boundary Street and the College Corner. Stay at our Williamsburg Bed and Breakfast ... The Webster Hitchens Room will not disappoint. |
