The William and
Mary Room at our Williamsburg Virginia Bed and
Breakfast overlooks the College to the west. The
1864 map of the Civil War blockades published for Harper's Bazaar
recalls an era when the town and the College were occupied by
the Union forces during what we still refer to as "the late
unpleasantness".
A signed 1999 Donald Regan print celebrates the annual 4th of July ice cream social in the Wren Building Yard, bringing to life the ongoing association of "Town & Gown". The William and Mary Room features a luxurious fully draped queen size four-poster bed and hand-painted floor. The view from this room overlooks the William & Mary Sorority Court on Prince George and Boundary Streets. |
