Traveling to Williamsburg's Most Convenient Bed and
Breakfast

Getting to Williamsburg, Virginia By Plane Closest airport is Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport , about 15 miles east of Williamsburg; it is served by Air Tran, Delta, and US Airways. Avis, Budget, Hertz and National have desks at the airport. Richmond International Airport to the west and Norfolk International Airport to the east are about the same distance on I64 (45 miles) but the interstate traffic to Norfolk can be extreme especially on summer weekends when beach traffic funnels through the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel. By Car For the most functional directions visit the directions page on our site. For fun stuff: John Tyler Highway (Va. 5) is very scenic and runs between Richmond and Williamsburg, passing the James River plantations. Another incredibly scenic route is the Colonial Parkway which connects Williamsburg to Jamestown and Yorktown. It runs through a tunnel under the Historic Area. You can get on and off the parkway at the Colonial Williamsburg visitor center.
Williamsburg Transportation Center The Amtrak train station and Greyhound/Trailways buses station are located together at the Williamsburg Transportation Center. The center is at the intersection of Boundary and Lafayette streets, just two blocks from the Fife & Drum Inn, a Williamsburg Bed and Breakfast.
