Through the years, Williamsburg, VA has quickly become a fantastic place to spend the spookiest holiday with fun and frights for every age. In fact, for the whole month of October, Williamsburg allows Halloween fanatics to celebrate as much as they wish. Here’s a layout of everything Halloween this year:
Busch Gardens Howl-o-scream
Howl-o-scream has been a raging success since its beginning. Open on weekends from late September through October 30, the park is open day and night, complete with rides, hilarious Halloween shows, games and more. Every evening at 6 as the sun goes down, the “haunted houses” open and creepy characters show up behind bushes to spook you – if you dare to stay later, be prepared for a great goulish time! Get tickets here.
Colonial Williamsburg’s Haunting on DoG Street
This is the second year of the Haunting on DoG Street, and it is another highly recommended event for any and every age! Once again, there are family friendly activities during the day – kids can dress up and trick or treat around CW – and later into the night, more adult activities are introduced. This year the theme is “Curse of the Sea Witch”, complete with a creepy “Tavern of Terror” and a “Dance with the Dead”. Do you dare to celebrate with the pirates?
