With windows overlooking Prince George Street, The George Washington room gives a bright, airy welcome after your day’s activities.The beautiful four poster queen bed, topped with a canopy is perfect for two. Deep red trimmings on the bed give a subtle hint of rebellion! To maintain the colonial ambiance, the TV is tucked in to a corner cabinet. You will find cotton, monogrammed robes in the wardrobe. You control your room temperature with wall mounted thermostat.
Warm hardwood floors, antique dresser and wardrobe all enhance the feeling you are going back in time. Isn’t that what you came for? The en suite bathroom is tiled and features a pedestal sink, closeted toilet and tiled, seated shower with European shower massage. There is a hair dryer and lovely upscale amenities to lavish yourself after a long drive.
Perhaps no patriot is more revered than the father of our country. The George Washington Room features framed early 20th century postcards celebrating Washington’s birthday, an antique travel map showing every community who claims “Washington slept here!”, and a beautiful color print of George and Martha Washington in front of historic St. Luke’s Church in New Kent County, Virginia, where they were married in 1759.
